Steph couldn’t wait ten more days ‘til June 15. She had to give me her gift. Needless to say, I was surprised when she gave it to me.

Personalized guitar picks! Made of wood! Steph knows me well. I love guitars and woodworking.
Two of the picks, or plectrums if you want to be technical, are engraved with my name “Todd,” and one has my new blog name “Notes of Blue.” How sweet is that!
Upon further inspection, it seems one is ebony, one is walnut, and one is maple. Cool!
Even though wooden picks are in fact used by some guitarists, I’m not using these. I’m putting them up on the mantle so I can show them to folks.

We celebrated our 34th anniversary back on May 18. Did we do anything special? Not really. We spent most of the day relaxing in our recliners watching tv.
Maybe next year we’ll get off our butts and go do something. It’s a plan!
